Trump condemned the rally and the violence
It was a rally to protect a statue that was attended by a wide group of people some of whom were white nationalists.
It was also a rally where the police, rather than keeping the protesters and counter-protesters separated, actually pushed them together in order to cause violence to occur.
It was also the rally where the Dem governor failed to provide enough security in order that the violence would get out of hand.
Charlottesville was not some 4D chess being played by Trump's opponents to besmirch his name. What Trump said was exactly correct: there were good people there protecting monuments.
It was the MSM that provided the false narrative and the Dems that provided the fireworks.
And you could tell it was going to be a peaceful protest by the signs & posters that were stapled to baseball bats...
I agree completely. C-ville was a Soros paid agit prop operation. He bused in actors to play both Antifa and the neo Nazis. It was all an act. Have you seen neo Nazis’ hold a tiki torch parade since? No. Trump wasn’t prepared for the C-ville setup. His comment that there were good people on both sides of the statute issue was twisted to mean neo Nazis’, aka white supremacists, are good people. That’s what Soros was after.
