AMC Networks told its employees Tuesday that it is planning significant layoffs, according to people familiar with the matter and a memo obtained by CNBC.
The memo, sent by AMC Networks Chairman James Dolan, came shortly after the company announced that CEO Christina Spade stepped down from her role less than three months after being promoted to the position. The layoffs are expected to happen in the coming days and amount to about 20% of its U.S. staff, said one of the people, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.

They haven’t had any good shows in the last 5 yrs other than TWD & it’s myriad spin-offs. I remember watching Mad Men, Breaking Bad & Hell on Wheels faithfully just a decade ago. When each of those series ended, there was a void that they stupidly didn’t fill with new programming that was as well written and produced as the shows that had ended. They went woke and it’s gonna cost them bigly.
Viewers everywhere have been repeatedly burned by mainstream content producers. The medium has failed. Stick a fork in it.

Pretty good show right up to where they felt compelled to have a homosexual couple as characters including a homosexual kissing scene. Click. Never watched another minute after that.

That’s true, they have milked the TWD franchise for everything it’s has, they just ended the original TWD, but still have Fear and are starting up 3 additional spinoffs of the TWD.

They, like some of the other networks, push their ‘new’ stuff onto their plus+ streaming platform.
Their cable channel is ad-heavy. I hardly ever watch it. I gave up on The Walking Dead several seasons ago as each season became just more of the same.

TwD has become a soap opera with zombies
I lasted until about season 9.
That was TMC, not AMC...
