That whole SWAMP has to be drained one way or another. I’m trending toward the “another”.
We are not to be allowed to make ANY changes to the government whatsoever.
We got one past the goalie in 2016, and the government has put ALL shoulders to the wheel that that the status quo is NEVER to be disturbed again.
Then the GOP should get a better Speaker. One that can unite the party.

GOP majority is already caving in to the Democrat minority. Even when the Republicans win, they lose. The MAGA Republicans are criticized as extremists for refusing to give in. We need to fight like Democrats.
Conservatives have to fight against both the Democrats and the GOP. If that is not obvious to everyone by now then you aren’t paying attention. We know now why Trump was rocked by “crisis” after “crisis” and non-stop investigations. The GOP coordinated with the left to destroy his every policy. I’m surprised he succeeded at the level that he did. The GOP was just as worried as the left at the possibility that Trump would stop their gravy train and expose to the voters their culpability in destroying our nation.
McCarthy was nominated to be the GOP candidate for Speaker by something like a 180-30 margin.
Only in Freeper Fantasyland does the 30-vote minority decide that someone other than the guy with 180+ votes is best suited to "unite the party."
I will say this: The best thing about this fiasco is that it plays right into Donald Trump's hands as a presidential candidate.
If you want to have more input, you have to win more elections. Biggs, the preferred choice of the Freedom Caucus, got 33 votes out of 219. McCarthy got the rest. If this was flipped, and McCarthy only got 33 and Biggs got the rest, conservatives would be bursting a vein at the traitors refusing to support the guy who won the GOP caucus vote.
Reaching across the aisle has worked so well. Might as well keep doing it.

It is impossible to have someone whom everyone is going to unite behind as the preferred candidate. That's why it is necessary to hold votes in the first place - to resolve disagreements about which candidate is preferred. And generally, we agree to abide by that result.

If a democrat is elected Speaker, than not only is the fix in place, but Biden will be laughing his butt off at Republican Stupidity.
I agree and I like the rules the freedom caucus wants. So if McCarthy can’t agree to that...screw him.
McCarthy could have railed against the Dems and their horrible decisions, but took it easy instead. Just pick Jim Jordan.

We’ll be watching to see if any Republicans cooperate with Democrats to put a Rino in. And we will continue primarying RINOs.
