I thing both parties want a divorce. The "whole thing" is the whole problem. They need their own space and freedom lovers need their own space. Common sense.

They don’t see it that way. You’re occupying their space. You can stay there if you like, and grow the food and make the gadgets, and deliver it all to their supermarkets. But on their terms, which are not good. Don’t secede. Eject THEM from the Union like a splinter from your finger. See how they like being Mexican citizens. Oregon and Washington can go to Canada and experience socialism first hand.
