Its a well engrained fallicy that red states give more than the feds. I lost this argument once, badly, never again.
Stop thnking everything conservative is Carrying the US.. BLUE STATES pay more out than they get back from the feds.
Taxes don’t matter anymore.
The Democrats just print money.
You only pay taxes so they have some control on you.
Assuming you’re correct, then they should have no problem with the Red states leaving and living in penurious isolation.
Taxes and outlays are porportional. If the USA split in two then USA would only need to provide welfare etc. to half the number they used to give away tax dollars to.
