There are two major things at play here.
The first is the vote fraud. More than enough said about that already.
The second is the ratio of producers vs consumers. We have been creeping towards the point of having more ‘takers’ than tax payers for several decades. We all knew that when the number of people taking handouts exceeded the number of people paying into the system, the people doing the work and paying taxes would be voted into serfdom. I think the COVID debacle has pushed us over that tipping point. Welfare takers now exceed working voters.
