If we’re gonna trade we should make a deal that get all three Americans back rather than pontificating on getting parity value. Staggering it is the tactically stupidest option as it stills breaks our pledge to not negotiate, creates envy as it prioritizes some Americans over others, and it allows the opponent to double dip on concessions. Either refuse to deal or get them all in one package.
Putin played Biden like a violin. Putin is in political trouble and needs strong allies around him. He took advantage of Biden’s weakness and, let’s be honest, stupidity to extract just such a person and return him to Russia.
Putin knew that Biden desperately wanted Griner, a black, female (I guess), homosexual, who openly demonstrated her (its?) hatred for the United States by showing disrespect for its flag and anthem, and claimed privilege by flouting Russian law, released to appease Dems as they move rapidly to the left.
