I never underestimate republicans and conservatives to get so close to making an irrefutable point then go a step further and eradicate said point by not being happy with it and going one step further, always opening us up to ridicule and letting the leftists have the final say.

The trade (by itself) is disgraceful enough and could be a huge campaign trail talking point tgat could appeal to left leaning independents. Actually, you should read Trump's tweet instead of relying on a headline. Trump's primary complaint was about the "Merchant of Death being released. Trump did refer to Whelan as a former Marine, but so what.
