The author is sloppy with the facts and inaccurate with the premise. Bannon was prosecuted for contempt of Congress, railroaded into a guilty verdict by a biased judge and a biased jury.

As for Fauci, the author has a better chance of seeing Fauci winning a gold medal in women's gymnastics than being prosecuted for lying to congress, and the author should know that.
