They may be able to do it in a lab. But they will have to build a reactor. And it will have to be big enough to power a major city.
It will not be built becaise of the NImby people and that it will harm the environment. The environmentsl impact report alone will delay it by 30 years.
2.1 megajoules of power (which I’ll assume is one hell of a lot of energy) to create 2.5 megajoules of power. My laymen’s perspective sees lots of expenditure for a 20% +/- output.
