NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has charged the former CEO of failed cryptocurrency firm FTX with orchestrating a scheme to defraud investors.

An SEC complaint filed Tuesday alleges that Sam Bankman-Fried raised more than $1.8 billion from equity investors since May 2019 by promoting FTX as a safe, responsible platform for trading crypto assets.

The civil complaint says Bankman-Fried diverted customer funds to Alameda Research LLC, his privately-held crypto fund, without telling them. The complaint also says Bankman-Fried commingled FTX customers’ funds at Alameda to make undisclosed venture investments, lavish real estate purchases, and large political donations.

The day before he was supposed to testify before Congress. Can’t risk a major Democrat donor risking perjury, can we?

They left off “predominantly to Democrats, but also to RINOS and NeverTrumpers facing MAGA-candidate primary challenges.”

About time, what took them so long? Did they have to run it by Biden first?

So is this really a veiled “protective custody” arrangement?

Because otherwise the next step is for a Jack Ruby figure to step in and finish this UTEP Two-Step.

Hearings are a joke. Only allowed five minutes each. Takes them five minutes just to ask one question.

Oh, yeah. The pols in DC and elsewhere can’t risk having this guy spill his guts re who received the laundered money. Has he made the statement made by James O’Keefe and Kari Lake, i.e., “I’m not suicidal”?

Read that his mom and dad professors at Stanford have taken leave, suppose they headed to the Islands to say their goodbyes. Had a boss that said making a lot of money is not difficult, making it honest and keeping it is a little trickier.

There’s something HIGHLY interesting that he was arrested just prior to testifying to Congressional committees.

This sounds — AGAIN — like the DOJ (through the SEC) — is actively trying to cover up Democrat corruption.

Waters has already aid that his testimony is now unlikely. Republican committee members now won’t get the chance to question his DNC money laundering scheme.

This timing is extremely fishy...

“Hearings are a joke.”

We may look back fondly on show hearings if the wicked people in DC manage to restart the cattle cars.
