I sure hope all of that was one big heaping helping of sarcasm, cause if not, WHERE have you been? Ever heard of ‘Lia Thomas’? It’s already happening. The only way this stops is if all the REAL girls refuse to participate.
The women still haven’t figured it out. They have to boycott, probably for a season. They don’t want to lose a season because it’s huge in the short-term world of sports.
But...if they don’t boycott this will never go away and will become entrenched forever.

There’s no more reason why girls should bother to participate in girl’s sports since regardless of how hard they work a boy is going to beat them.

The article may be poorly written, but that’s not how I interpreted it. I took it to say, “Well, they still had other chances to win... and they won!”
