Does the light switch have a dimmer? If so, it might be a non-dimmable light.

Forgot about that problem. I saw a guy put in some new bulbs two for $119.00 that were switchable on the bulb to set the temperature or color.

I am 84 years old and could care less about incandescent bulbs and I have several years supply somewhere. I have several 4ft fluorescent fixtures that I will replace with LEDs as they fail, did one a month or so back and wow what a difference, old eyes like a lot of light.
