The Electoral Count Act of 1887 is blatantly unconstitutional, and needs to be eliminated or amended. Congress should never be given the option of rejecting any presidential electors from the states (except in the rare case described below).

The January 6th certification of the presidential election results is NOT the proper place to consider, debate, etc. any election irregularities -- except (maybe) in cases where multiple slates of electors are submitted for any states.

The time to fix any election problems is BEFORE the electoral votes are certified in mid-December, not afterward.

Well, that is your anti-MAGA opinion, and one the Left endorses.

It is interesting that you regard a statute that has survived close examination by legal experts for many decades as blatantly unconstitutional, but then your attitude is likely shaped by the views of the day.

Some here may challenge your view of how "multiple slates of electors" can be different than slates of electors created illegally in defiance of state constitutions or statutes, but I am not.
