A former Nazi concentration camp typist known as the “Secretary of Evil” has been convicted by a German court for her role in more than 10,000 murders during the Holocaust.
Irmgard Furchner, 97, was found guilty on Tuesday of complicity in the deaths of 10,505 people at Stutthof, the internment camp near Gdansk, Poland, where she served as a typist and stenographer from 1943 through 1945, BBC reported.
Furchner, who was tried as a juvenile because she was under 21 when she worked at the camp, was sentenced to a two-year suspended prison term.
Although Furchner’s lawyers repeatedly denied she had knowledge of the Nazi regime’s atrocities, Judge Dominik Gross at Itzehoe Regional Court in northern Germany ruled that she was aware of the camp’s murderous intentions.
After several months of judicial proceedings that were initially delayed by her attempt to escape in September 2021, Furchner broke her silence on her time at Stutthof earlier this month.

We are running out of people to publicly shame as Nazis. Anybody 18 in 1945, is 95 now. They are dying off. We will have to move toward trials for babies of death, for babies delivered by an SS doctor.

It does seem they are trying to put on a fig leaf and assuage their guilt.
I read about her but there’s little information. It doesn’t seem like she hid or changed her identity or anything.
Amazing that it was decided she did something wrong 75 years after she actually did it.
So she was brought in as a 16 year old and told to take notes and type stuff and so she was responsible for the Holocaust? Kind of a stretch.
Don't be surprised if they start prosecuting the family members, children and grandchildren of long dead Nazis for knowingly assisting them with evading prosecution in their old age. Virtue signaling is a disease that never goes away.
so the people that ordered, and did, the actually killings were protected by the CIA, and many were put on the USA payroll to help fight the russians and/or became politicians in the post-war germany but the 19-20 year old secretary gets put on trial.
Makes perfect sense.
No German court that ignores the crimes of the pharmaceutical korporations has any authority to charge others.
