A note of caution, FRiend. Those new jobs are all GS-7s, similar to a second lieutenant in the military. I'm willing to bet the main hiring requirement will be diversity, not skill or one with the ability to read and comprehend tax regulations.

LOL, none of them will be "going after billionaire tax scofflaws. Guys like me will metaphorically slap them silly. I've prepared tax returns, ranging from wealthy individuals to publicly traded corporations for about 20 of my past 30 years of employment.
No, these new agents will audit people who file Schedule C for self-employment, while claiming the Child Tax Credit. Those are the most audited returns, because they usually are self-prepared, and they're easily intimidated when the IRS knocks on the door.
