The fact is, no matter which solution is pursued, no state has the ability to deport anyone once they set foot on US soil. Best we can hope to do is deter them from trying to come over, and failing that, arrest them, but after you arrest them they will be turned over to the feds who will just release them.
What DeSantis and Abbott did was nothing more than political grand-standing.
What’s DeSantis to do? Florida is not a border state. Arizona and Texas are.
And now they’re showing up, by boat, on Florida’s shores just like they’re doing in Europe.
Haven’t heard much about what is happening to them.

And all DeSantis has to do is spread his Ron Dust and convert them all to Republican voters, like he did everyone else, and many on FR will proclaim him Master of the Universe.
