LOL. I had planned to buy myself a new pair of jeans for Christmas, but simply never got around to it. I’ll get around to it at some point. I don’t need much but buy what I need throughout the year. Since I retired, my needs are few when it comes to clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc.
I purchased gifts for the grandchildren; one book, one toy they had requested, plus one extra puzzle or small interesting “surprise” item I thought they would enjoy; along wtih one article of clothing.
I got my husband some socks and a couple of other items I knew he needed. Plus a T-shirt that says “You can’t tell me what to do—you aren’t my grand-daughter”! He is going to love that!
People spend way too much much on themselves. Twenty dollars here and 100 dollars there adds up and is money that can be saved for emergencies so you can avoid going in debt for unexpected expenses. Boring boomer attitude I know, but that attitude has served my family well over the years.
That’s it. My Christmas shopping was done!
Plus a T-shirt that says “You can’t tell me what to do—you aren’t my grand-daughter”! He is going to love that!
That reminds me!
Mark 12
36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
37 David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
Merry Christmas! 😊
All my husband wanted was the new Rush Limbaugh book. I bought him steaks, too...
