Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky got a rousing reception before, during and after his speech to U.S. Congress, but opposition from some GOP lawmakers remains to Washington footing much of the bill for his fight against Russian President Vladimir Putin...
...sitting out most of the standing ovations that peppered his 22-minute speech were GOP Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and Jim Jordan (R-OH), although Boebert stood while Zelensky entered the chamber.
In a video after the speech, Boebert said that she would not back sending more money to Ukraine until there is a "full audit" of already approved funds, which so far total around $48 billion in military, financial and humanitarian aid...
...After the speech Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said it was "theater" that had been "orchestrated" by the outgoing Democrat leadership of the current Senate "to prop up a belief that $47 billion, again, with no debate at all, is just going to be magically created out of thin air."...

Of course it’s theater. The Dems want his popularity to rub off on them. He is justifiably famous, and it’s Biden luck, well, in part, that’s its going down on his watch.
And given his circumstances that’s exactly what he should be doing. Look at it from his POV.
The Dems want to paint the GOP as the party of Putin, and to a degree that strategy is working. They couldn’t care less about Zelenskyy, other than his role in this dog and pony show.
The new Winston Churchill, doncha know. How long before Biden beknights him?
He only had to win over the one getting the kick backs.
Did anyone really expect him to?

Don’t be too harsh on Zelensky - he’s a puppet, just like Biden. I believe Zelensky truly wanted peace - he campaigned on a peace-platform, he publicly supported the Minsk Accords.
But the Azov nazi/nationalists, empowered by the Maidan Coup, and their DC deep-state backers both wanted war. They wanted US politicians tied in deeply as well - Kerry and Biden’s kids were making $$ off Ukraine. People like Liz Cheney got rich from MIC donations.
Zelensky’s only two options now are fight - or get killed.
That we know of......Of course we learned in the 80s, you don't necessarily need Congressional approval to send arms.

It’s almost as though...we have to...we must...it is our obligation to give billions to Ukraine...so that they can pay Hunter Biden his salary!

Im kind of indifferent to Zelenskyy. So much spin it’s really hard to know. But what I do know is I’m tired of spending money on the rest of the world. We just spent $1700 Billion dollars but Congress could find $35 Billion to build a southern border wall?
