When will the Western USA get serious about needing to build lots of water desalination plants along the west coast and gulf coast to meet the water supply needs? Lake Powell and Lake Meade need to both be refilled and the total outflow of water out of Hoover Dam cut by at least 50% for the next 10 years. All these people moving out of California is making a terrible problem even worse.

The drought will eventually drive lots of the left coast dwellers inland in search of water and food. They have waited too long to build nuclear powered desalinization plants that would replace the missing, dwindling natural supplies of fresh, potable water.
