“Demesha Coleman, 35, was charged Thursday with two counts of murder,”
Why? This crap will stop when people resort to vigilantism. And seeing how criminals are celebrated and coddled by the system this is the only option left.
These guys were in HER car that they just stole WITH GUNS.
Knowing for certain they would kill her in a split second if she let them, she had every right to OPEN FIRE!
I say CONGRATS to Demesha.
Technically she likely did just that, during their second carjacking. If she said “Get out of my car…” she’d pointed out it was hers. Them pulling on her was trying to steal it again. Had they recognized the truth of her claim, repented and left they have lived. She’d have recoveredh her car and probably given the cops a description of those she’d chased off. Which per higher level policy the cops would have ignored.
Things don’t get messy unless the victim class develops logic skills and learns to apply the accepted legal principle that conspirators to commit a crime are equally responsible for it and deserve the same penalty for it. And recognize that those hiding behind ‘official’ titles and setting ‘official’ policies can be de facto conspirators, being paid in votes. And seek to recover the ‘official’ system from its de facto carjackers.
Prayers up for Demesha.
My point was not to condemn her for what she did, but merely to point out that she will have serious legal problems ahead of her for what she did. Like several mention, if I were on the jury, I’d vote not guilty, but I’m sure I’d be violating the judge’s instructions by doing so.
In MO, if you can legally possess a firearm you can carry one concealed anywhere with some exceptions. So she’s OK on that point.
But, with perhaps the exception of Texas, you are not allowed to use deadly force to protect property, only your or someone else’s life.
As for what she could have done, I suppose, after finding the thieves at the gas station she could have called the police and reported the thieves were in her car. Perhaps taken pictures of them in her car. Had the thieves then threatened her, then she and her male companion, also armed would have possibly been justified in shooting them.
Easy for me to write as I sit safely at home, but her impulsively tracking the thieves down and shooting them is going to occupy her time for a while. Wonder if she has enough money for the thieves’ relatives to want to sue her?
What a wonderful Christmas story! It brings tears of joy to my eyes.
I’m touched and overwhelmed with emotions of joy!
Too bad the third offender survived.
We don’t even know if the crazed crime victim killed the people actually guilty of the theft but that seems to be beyond the thought process of many here
I get all verklempt just thinking about it........talk amongst yourselves.
“ her impulsively tracking the thieves down and shooting them is going to occupy her time for a while”
She’ll rot in prison for being stupid
A guy in this area I think it was Broken Arrow chased down a car burglar who was breaking in the driveway car. He chased him down the street and shot him in the back.
And what do all you guns ho folks think happen to him?!
This is probably the most pro 2nd Amendment state in the country. Open carry concealed carry no license required.
What do you think happen to the guy that chased the car burglar down the street and shot him in the back?
Are you ready to do HARD TIIME?
I believe that Judges instructions do not carry the weight of the law. The JURY is the law, what they decide is Justice.
It seems that THE WITNESS says so with her actions.
Last time I checked, in Texas you can use deadly force to protect your property after dark.
👍
You are correct, but I hope that there is a sympahetic jury.
She’s not Amish but I support her 100%
Let’s review this scientifically...
1. What race are the car thieves? Black.
2. What race is the accused? Black.
A draw, then. Might even be a fair trial.
I’ve got an idea. Maybe don’t steal from her?
Are you sure, looks Amish to me. 🙂
I don’t think that excuse of a crazed mouth of control witness is a valid substitute for due process afforded by the Constitution.
She may have executed innocents on top of that
