“Moscow Demands Ukraine Surrender or Face Battlefield ‘Elimination’”

Pretty much the only response possible given that Merkel said that the West simply lies to Russia and that any ‘agreement’ isn’t worth the paper it is written on.

The question that I have is why did the Neocons drag-out Merkel to make her statement? About the only thing that I can think of was the situation just before her statement was talk about Germany working towards a settlement, and that the Neocons wanted none of that, so they had Merkel scuttle it (and before that, when Germany was also making noises about ending the war, the West took out the pipeline).

Meanwhile, in the real world, Russia is the country that no other country trusts because they have broken every agreement they ever made, just about.

That's the $64,000 question of the day, no doubt, and your guess is as good as any. The opposite alternative could be that the West is calculating a near full defeat of Russia soon, and is rubbing their nose in it. I sort of doubt that possibility, based on reports Putin just expanded his default army size by another 500,000.

Did you catch the predictions by Medvedev yesterday, one being that a new "Fourth Reich" will form between Germany, Poland, and a few other neighbors, that would then wage war against France, and possibly Britian? Sounds pretty crazy, to us over here, and more like a Russian wet dream, but maybe that is what's actually happening over there.

He also predicted a US civil war, however, which I don't actually believe we're anywhere actually near, as sad as that might make some. As I said it all sounded more like a Russian wet dream, than anything that would actually be good for any of us, at least in my opinion.

Correct analysis of the use of Merkel the DDR borne nazi leftist Socialist who cannot stand the oligarchy of RUSSIA that devolved from the former Soviet Socialist Republic. Merkel’s people in the DDR were on (like nearly 50% of the country) the STASI informant files. They KNEW the KGB Director inside the DDR- one Vladimir Putin.

The Neocons of the mil-industrial perpetual debilitatitng WAR clowns (Bill Kristol a major useless turd of an example) need the “war” to continue. So yes- they did this. But it will not stop the one thing Russia has in abundance- as they did on the Eastern Front slaughtering the Nazis— they have hundreds of millions of cannon fodder trigger pullers, and now.. frozen steppes of Ukraine to drive right over these jokers. But Biden— the SOB is going to kill the Western World to keep his cash flow going... just as demonrats have always done to Dear United States of America— the real Americans that is.

Russia did not comply with either of 2 Minsk agreements. One of the main terms was to remove all foreign troops, Russia added more instead, but had them remove insignia to pretend they were local. Another term was withdrawing heavy weapons, Russia was constantly moving them around and hiding them so it was impossible to track them. Satellite photos and OSCE personnel reported this. And OSCE was always prevented from getting near the Russian border to see where all the personnel and equipment was being brought in.

And you are falsifying what Merkel said.

said that agreement frozen the conflict and gave time to Ukraine to be stronger, and so as a result have better position in negotiations over Minsk implementation.

Here is the quote - “Merkel said that the Minsk agreements had been an attempt to “give Ukraine time” to build up its defenses”

As you can see - there was nothing about agreement being a sham - in fact Russia broke the agreement first by recognizing the separatists proxy republics.

When Minsk-2 was signed the idea was to re-integrate Donbass back in Ukraine as per Ukrainian law (see p.4 of Minsk agreements with increased cultural and financial autonomy (+greater economic ties to Russia).

Instead Russia insisted to legalize the proxy-officials that were installed by Russia (instead of running free and democratic elections in Donbass as it required by the agreements).

As Surkov (who was appointed by Russia for Minsk implementations) said - Russia goal is symbolic sovereignty of Ukraine over Donbass.

As you can see there is nothing trustworthy coming from Russia here as it completely sabotaged making compromises over the implementation of agreement (instead Russia pressured Ukraine to agree to its maximalist demands under the threat of invasion).
