I think it is way to early to conclude that the case has been mishandled. Very little information has been released and, as far as I can see, the authorities are very judicious and know what can happen if they make errors.

Certainly with regards to the murder investigation, it looks like the Moscow PD, ISP and Feebies connected the right dots and brought quick resolution.

OTOH, it now looks like Kohberger may have been stalking the victims for a while leading up to the killing, and if he was the stalker Goncalves reported last fall, that may tarnish some of the PD's glow.
