In college, some guys lifted a mailbox (the kind you drop off letters in) as a prank. They didn’t even touch the mail inside. I don’t know how it ended, but their parents were dealing with some huge legal bills, as the feds weren’t interested in going soft.

...DO NOT use the drop off mail boxes. Go into the USPS building and HAND it to a postal employee. Non USPS sub-contractors are stealing keys and mail. This is a breakdown of civil order in our society.

Isn’t it time to digitize or make all mail electronic?
Everything should come to your email. Total waste of time to deliver physical mail.
If you have packages or certified mail then pick them up at the post office.

True. I met a NYPD detective at a car show in daBronx who restored a couple of the big old Plymouth Fury patrol cars they used in the 60's. He said most cops run into "criminal mastermind" types once or twice in their careers. Most of what they deal with is more like what you'd see on shows like Cops
