Mail theft is ‘the new hustle in urban America’ expert warns as another mail carrier is robbed in Logan Square {Chicago}

Chicago — A US Postal Service mail carrier was robbed by two men in Logan Square on Friday evening, the latest crime in an ongoing assault on the mail system in Chicago.

“Never put anything into the postal system unless you are comfortable with it landing in the hands of criminals instead of at its intended destination,” advised an investigative source.

Like dozens of other mail carriers, the postal worker robbed on Friday was targeted for her “arrow key,” a US Postal Service universal master key that opens collection boxes, parcel lockers, mailbox panels, and apartment building mailroom boxes.

The robbers, who targeted the carrier in the 2600 block of North Washtenaw around 5:45 p.m., also went through her pockets and took other items before escaping, a Chicago police spokesperson said.

On December 21, a witness called 911 after seeing a fake postal worker using a master key to open mailboxes in the 1800 block of West Belmont in Roscoe Village. The man was gone when the police arrived.

Not just more crime, this is civilizational breakdown stuff.

Please note: Logan Square is not the "baddest part of town" by any means.

Happened here in Little Rock. FBI and Postal inspectors at work said DO NOT use the drop off mail boxes. Go into the USPS building and HAND it to a postal employee. Non USPS sub-contractors are stealing keys and mail.

This is a breakdown of civil order in our society.

Thanks alot lefties, Beer Kringtong, Bushes, and Obamas.

Plot twist: people are pretty sure it’s postal employees involved at a suburban Atlanta post office. Lots of checks stolen, some washed, doctored up, and cashed for large amounts.

Meanwhile somewhere in Europe new Uke tycoons are buying palatial estates with our money. The breakdown in our society is all connected. Oh and the J6 crowd that was unarmed and stole nothing - throw the book at them.

There was a time when virtually any crime involving mail theft would get you at least 10 years in a federal prison. Maybe these crimes are “reparations?”.

“Please note: Logan Square is not the “baddest part of town” by any means.”

Simple explanation: people in “bad neighborhoods” have no money or credit to ruin.

Funny thing I went to a local USPS location to inquire about a package was said delivered on 12/27 and this was the morning of the 29th. Wait 15 minutes to talk to a clerk and then wait another 10 minutes for the supervisor. He shows me a print out of where it was delivered which was 3 houses w so from me. He would ‘t let me take that copy or even take a picture of it with my phone and was telling me he shouldn’t even be showing me this. I go home and wait 3 hours on y front porch waiting for the mailman. He drove by and it something in my mailbox expecting this missing package. No luck. I get in my car and meet up with the mail jeep. He’s waving the same copy of that printout. I ask if he was able to retrieve it like the supervisor instructed him to. He said they never left anything in their box but that he never knocked on their door. He gave me the copy (that I wasn’t supposed to have per the supervisor) and gave me the go ahead to knock on their door (supervisor strictly told me NOT to do that but let the mail carrier retrieve the package) long style short I get my package.

Back to when I was initially waiting in the post office to speak to the clerk, there was a commotion in the back room we couldn’t see which at times sounded like an NFL locker room, some times it sounded line a wannabe rap party, so I’m guessing it’s those Amish again.

I’m not surprised. The USPS employees, at every level, were heavily involved in the 2020 stolen election. If you’re comfortable committing one crime, then moving on to another isn’t a problem.

I sent a few gift cards through the mail at Christmas and felt a little hinky when I mailed them. Handling an envelope, it’s easy to determine if a card is inside.

Not anymore. Now they’ll ignore it. Can’t prosecute someone in a protected group.

When I mail gift cards, I go the extra mile and send them priority or express. I load the envelope with stiff paper so it can’t be felt through the envelope. I make it appear as though it is a set of documents, not a gift card.

P.S. The USPS won’t refund the gift card if it’s lost or stolen. Just the price to send it.

If criminals can steal stuff from the USPS, then it follows that criminals can insert stuff into the USPS just as easily.

Milwaukee has already had one carrier shot and killed. Of course, nothing ever came of any investigation.

Some years ago my partner got a call from his bank. Seems someone tried to cash his pay check. He asked for description of the thief and said sounds like my postman. Announced he had to take care of something, went across to the postal inspection office and he and inspector did a quick investigation and staked out the post office parking lot. When the post guy got back to the parking lot, they arrested him for mail theft and searched his car wherein they found a plethora of items purloined from the mail. “Quickest scratch I ever made” he announced the next day at the office!! Lucky for him the teller was a friend and knew the check was stolen. Kudos to her too.

As Sticks said on On Patrol, we don’t catch the smart ones!!

It’s not the baddest part of town, but on a scale of Zero to Woke, it’s pretty high. Karma has this knack.....
