It isn't tit-for-tat. It is keeping known security risks off committees where security is important. The GOP needs to do a better job of explaining this fact.

Thanks to the enemedia, the sheeple think that these are merely political games. While it is better to be stupid than evil, the stupid party needs to explain the reasoning here especially since their majority is as thin as that of the evil party in the previous congress.
