In my opinion:

Shots 1-4: Fully justified self defense, no question.

Shots 5-6: Probably justified, but after this point the threat has ended.

Shots 7-9: The threat has already ended, shots not justified.

“Shots 7-9: The threat has already ended, shots not justified.”

By that time the perp was already dead. The shooter was just making sure.

If you threaten a police officer with a gun, they will empty they will often empty their magazine, based on video shoots I have seen. Why? Neutralize the threat. Go home to your family, live another day.

This guy is presumably not a cop. Probably has never encountered this before, and so maybe he shot a dead guy a couple of times.

I give him the leeway to protect himself and others. Why wouldnt you?

Thank you for the video.

I was thinking about that 9th shot, hoping that it looked like it could have been accidental.

No. It is an aimed shot. The shooter is standing there with the robbers gun in his hand, and he extends his arm and takes a last aimed shot at the robber’s head.

It is hard to justify that.
