For myself, I would not want to be having to defend any of the last 5 shots, though it’s easy after the fact to be an armchair tactician.
Important to think about one’s own rules of engagement before “the flag flies”, in any event. Much to be learned here.

^^^ You are right. The last five shots are a progressive DA’s dream — put a law abiding citizen in jail who carries and uses guns but who, in a crisis situation, probably went overboard in self-defense. You win a lot of votes and and local TV let’s you yammer on endlessly about racism and gun violence. IMO, the shooter will almost certainly be charged.
