“It’s good that we tweet that our national security is weakened.”

It’s already fully understood by all except those who trust the Western media. So in that way you do have a point - if the general public understands the impact of this futile war against Ukraine on our military, they may just start to ask questions.

The Russians haven’t outsmarted us.

Our Deep State is hand in glove with theirs.

“You nailed it. That’s exactly how it’s going to go.”

Agree, given that we won’t be supplying Taiwan with anymore weapons for at least 5 years, due to diverting the weapons they already paid for to Ukraine, there won’t be much Taiwan can do once China gives them an offer they can’t refuse.

Sorry, but NO WAY. The Deep State DESPISES Russia, which has been clear since Skunk Cabbage virtually promised a war with them in her 2016 campaign. And it’s also makes me wonder about the people here who also despise Russia...

What part of the US homeland defense plan involves land warfare? If we are having artillery duels with any enemy in Oklahoma, we already lost.

###############

A mental exercise I have often enjoyed, especially while driving long hours down the Interstate …

Most of our forces are deployed overseas. Japan, South Korea, Germany, England, NATO obligations, Africa (Africa?) and the Middle East, our boys just ain’t home right now. Only real “trained” military count, though our militia is a solid wildcard.

So imagine an attack, in the Pearl Harbor sense, fierce and brutal and right where we least expect it. Square in the homeland and lethal as hell.

I’m thinking a Chinese land force from Mexico, or maybe Canada, landed from a multi-unit cargo ship or quietly assembled over several months. Or maybe all those Chinese college students suddenly ordered to report to a warehouse in Little Rock. A suicidal force, since logistics from home would be nearly impossible, although a serious “prepper” stockpile of “Boots, Beans & Bullets” would pose a real problems.

And that’s just the shooting and logistics part. There is so much more. (How is your family food supply, by the way?) I’ll leave the political parts of this exercise to someone more awake and aware than myself. For now.

Show me where China has acted militarily to take over territory.

They’ve bought Africa. They are buying Afghanistan. They will buy Taiwan. And they do it with our money.

The weapons being sent to Ukraine have little use in Taiwan. If the Taiwanese are using Javelins and HIMARS…it’s over for them.

It’s fine to rage against the US, but take five minutes to read a map.

“Show me where China has acted militarily to take over territory.”

Taiwan is part of China, so they won’t be ‘taking over territory’.

Biden gave 85 billion of munitions to the taliban. He gave around a hundred billion and a lot of munitions to Ukraine.

If we ever have to start military action somewhere our supplies are depleted and the C-in-C is a self-pooping pile of decrepitude who would do nothing to protect this country. And we’re supposed to respect him?

No worries at all.

Zeepers have stated categorically that the US simply has to ramp up production and they will instantly be refilled.

Relax.

“...the bulk of American weapons given to Ukraine are land weapons and not naval weapons,...”

We have only given small amounts to naval aid to Ukraine for use in the Black Sea, quite successfully as we have seen. The bulk of our Naval and Airfore supplies are reserved for use in the seas around Taiwan, since China can’t drive tanks there. We have also place a nuclear sub in the Mediterranean which can send missiles as far as Moscow. That has probably resulted in the recent reduction in Russian nuke waving.

Ukraine is currently negotiating with several major European countries which have control over tanks and big land weapons in their own and smaller countries in Europe. Poland has ordered between 300 and 500 US Abrams tanks for 2023 delivery. Our MIC is busy, busy, busy. Also raking in money to pay their employees and themselves wages which will be spent here, and taxes going to the government. I just hope there will be enough IRS auditors to make sure the MIC fat cats pay their fair share for this major windfall.

Also, if it’s part of China, as you seem to believe it is, why wring hands over it? After all they are “Chinese speaking.” Based on your logic about Ukraine that is enough justification to start a war.

” Show me where China has acted militarily to take over territory?”

You ignorant fool! Are you evan an American? Have you forgotten the rather large peaceful country called Tibet? Then again there was the Korean War which I can never forget because my late husband suffered many years of PTSD from 3 years in combat there. Half of the playmates of his youth had been killed in Korean combat too.

We had a son, who at 14 was large, and because my redheaded husband had Cree Indian blood, happened to be somewhat swarthy with very dark hair and eyes. My husband had a 2 inch scar on his knee and he would never tell me how he got it. One evening he came home drunk, a frequent occurrance, and started to cry. When I asked why he started to scream and wail, “I killed somebody’s son, I killed somebody’s son.” Then he collapsed writhing and screaming on the floor for a long time. When he came out of this Primal state, he explained he had bayonetted one of the hundreds of thousands of young Chinese troops sent to Korea by China. He was raised by a devoutly religious Christian woman and had sat on that Christian guilt for 45 painful years. Although China is not now in Korea, I doubt many here at FR would consider North Korea free of China. So, yes Virginia, China has invaded other countries.

I was interested to learn that a certain amount of Afghanistan military supplies ended up in Ukrains. For example there were perhaps 5 US helicopters in Ukraine being repaired. I suspect there were other items too. Perhaps some of our military readers no more?
