A Ukrainian widow living in the battle-scarred city of Kherson said she has come to resemble “a living corpse” after having her hands boiled and nails pulled out during hours of torture — and being subjected to a mock execution at her husband’s grave by Russian soldiers.
The tale of Oksana Minenko’s torment and survival has emerged as part of a gut-wrenching expose published by Reuters, revealing gruesome details about the alleged treatment of Ukrainians living in Kherson during the city’s nine-month Russian occupation.
Minenko, a 44-year-old accountant whose husband died defending Kherson’s Antonivskyi bridge on the first day of full-scale war, said she was repeatedly detained and tortured by Russian troops.
During several interrogations in the spring, she claimed that Russians plunged her hands in boiling water, pulled out her fingernails and beat her in the face with rifle butts so badly that she needed plastic surgery.

We’d of course never hear what the Ukrainian army did to people.....ONLY how bad Russians are. Ukrainians like to think they’re a cut above Russians when they’re really two peas in a pod.

Everything we’ve been told about those two things is 100 percent false.
Hard to j is for sure but certainly could be true. And horrible. And both sides do it, but we won’t hear about the Ukrainians doing it.
This sounds like the neo Nazis in the Ukrainian military donned some of the tens of thousands of Russian military uniforms reported stolen. The Ukrainians have a secret police force that went into regions and 'punished' those who they perceived were secretly loyal to or providing support to the Russians. In one instance, Kherson, it was many young women who were killed- a bloody massacre to 'teach' the public not to tolerate or support the Russian troops.
The neo Nazi Ukrainian military videotaped their own soldiers executing Russian soldiers with a bullet to the back of the head.
The battlefield is bloody and frozen and I don't believe Putin pays Russian soldiers to 'sport' with torturing women. Despite the constant propaganda, Putin did try to spare civilian lives for many months but this only won him the reputation for being 'weak'. My point is that Putin made a point of sparing citizen's lives when possible; these are Christian slavs and he wanted good relations with the public.
Colonel MacGregor has said the Ukrainians accuse the Russians of the crimes they themselves commit. Since the Ukraine has a well known problem with neo Nazis being the ideological core of the military, this torture sounds like something neo Nazis do, torture to control the public.

We don’t know if this is true or not, but two formerly
peaceful nations side by side are now fighting, and
citizens of both nations are paying a very high price.
One more reason why the Ukraine should never have been
invaded.
