Losing? The RINOs wanted to stop Trump and MAGA candidates. To that extent, she did what they wanted.

Let no one forget that the RINOs wanted Hillary Clinton to be president in 2016. They had Yeb Bush or Chris Christie lined up to take the dive like McCain and Romney but were thwarted by Trump despite all their efforts to sabotage him. They then opposed him with illegal impeachments, collaborating with the Democrats to steal the election of 2020 from him and We The People.

Is this the same RNC that spends over $100 annually to ask for my $20 Sustaining Membership?

Not paid for results, or GOP strategists would have been living in cardboard appliance boxes under the overpass.

Weather forecasters and economic trend analysts get paid when wrong. All the rest of us have a boss saying “one more mistake like that and you’re out the door.”

Rona is a frumpy loser from the age of Corona. We need a winner.

Her position is best described as a “fund raiser”. She has done some good stuff with grass roots and local precinct movements (kind of how she got the job in the first place), but the results speak for themselves.

I don’t have the animosity towards her that many do, but I would like to see Harmeet get the position and bring some new ideas. Most fail to understand that the “RNC” is captive to the consultant class. You take RNC funds and you have to hire “their preferred consultants”.

Ronna is not the person to break the party away from the Karl Rove brigades, but in fairness to her they are far more entrenched in the party than any “chairperson”.

400k is chump change for similar positions inside the beltway. While I don’t support her “raise” you can check any similar organization and find that its low. Look at the NRA as an example.

She should be judged on the results. They are not as good as they should have been and the consultants torpedoed a lot of MAGA candidates.

$400,000 is not really that much
You gotta compare it with what the DNC Chairman is getting, not in isolation.

She was Trump’s pick. Prior to that, she was chair of the Michigan Republican Party. I don’t know how effective she was there, but Rick Snyder (R) was governor. I forget whether we controlled one or both chambers in the state legislature, but Michigan is one of the several states where the Republican position has eroded significantly in the last several cycles.

The members of the RNC are comprised of the State Chairman, National Committeeman, and National Committeewoman from each of the state and territorial parties. These folks are elected by their respective state parties under the state party rules. They in turn elect the Chairman and other officers of the RNC, who run the day-to-day operations. The full RNC meets periodically; I’d have to check to see whether that’s quarterly or twice a year.

The longstanding tradition — not a rule — is that the RNC will defer to the choice of an incumbent Republican president in the election of a chairman. After the primaries, the RNC will also absorb most of the nominee’s campaign staff and basically lets them control operations.

Anyone who thinks Ronna McDaniel and the RNC were unsatisfactory (I’m trying to stay polite) in the last couple of cycles should take it up with Donald.
