Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, said in a sermon: "We pray to the Lord that he bring the madmen to reason and help them understand that any desire to destroy Russia will mean the end of the world.

Maybe Kirill could have a heart to heart with his boss Putin?

Trump’s take on Putin.

“but I listened to him constantly using the n word , that’s the n word, and he’s constantly using it. The nuclear word, and we never talk, we say oh, he’s a nuclear power, but we’re a greater nuclear power”

You should say look , if you mention that word, one more time, we’re going to send them (nuke subs) over and we’ll be coasting back and forth up and down your coast.”

First he says:

"The defeat of a nuclear power in a conventional war may trigger a nuclear war," Medvedev, who serves as deputy chairman of Putin's powerful security council, said in a post on Telegram.

Somebody tell him about the USA and Vietnam, or Afghanistan, or even the Soviet Union and Afghanistan.

Then he says:

"Nuclear powers have never lost major conflicts on which their fate depends," said Medvedev, who served as president from 2008 to 2012.

Okay, so does Russia's fate rest in winning/not winning in Ukraine?

I don't care about Ukraine, unlike half of one side here, but I do not like Russia and what they stand for, which is the other side here on this threads.

This kind of talk is just mouth excrement. Who the hell does Medveded think he's talking to? Forget about Biden. He'll be gone one day, and God willing, Trump or DeSantis will be president in 2024.

Okay, Zeepers and Putinistas, I'm done, I don't want to be part of your threads any longer, but I will not just sit by and listen to a foreign power threaten us with nukes.

warned NATO on Thursday that the defeat of Russia in Ukraine could trigger a nuclear war

so Medvedev is admitting that Russia is so pathetic militarily that it COULD be defeated in Ukraine?

wow, that's a stunning admission ... and assuming it's true, it means this war won't be over anytime soon

No one is “trying to destroy Russia”.

Forcing them to leave Ukraine is far different.

What is he saying? that if he can’t win , he’s gonna stomp his foot, get all pissy and nuke the world? That would be the end of Russia if he tried it. I doubt he’s insane.

“Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, said in a sermon: “We pray to the Lord that he bring the madmen to reason and help them understand that any desire to destroy Russia will mean the end of the world.”

His comments only show is a partnered with Putin in the “greater Russian empire” theme, lying when he refers to someone who might “destroy Russia” as he and Putin seek to destroy what the world knows as Ukraine.

Sure!We should allow Russia to continue attacking smaller nations or else we get attacked by nuclear weapons.

As much as I hate seeing the U.S. involved in this issue, we need to make Russia realize that making nuclear threats would be a terrible mistake for them.

Russia always acts like a spoiled brat when they don’t get their own way.

During the Period from the 1960’s through the 1990’s when the Soviet Union dissolved, I can’t even recall all of the time the big bad bear was going to attack the west with nuclear missiles. It does get tiring after a while.

This guy has gone from being the voice or reason when he was President to a lunatic now. Maybe he does that to avoid Putin’s assassins?

https://sonar21.com/facts-on-the-ground-in-ukraine-force-shift-in-media-narrative/

The West is in desperation mode. They are throwing feces against the wall and hoping something sticks. Completely bereft of strategy. The decision to try to send U.K. and German tanks to Ukraine is the most recent indicator that London, Berlin and Washington are hitting the panic button.

Russian military forces, with the Wagner Group leading the charge, has breached the Bakhmut, Soledar, Siversk line of defense. While Ukrainian troops continue to occupy Bakhmut and Siversk, the Russians are grinding on and appear to have effected a tactical encirclement of Bakhmut. Taking Bakhmut and clearing settlements to the south of Ukrainian forces is a critical step in forging genuine security for Donetsk. When Bakhmut falls expect an uptick in the wailing and gnashing of teeth in London and Washington. They will be tempted to launch more desperate gambits.

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for January 18, 2023.

- Bakhmut faces encirclement by Russian forces;

- The Netherlands is considering sending Patriot missile systems after West blames Russia for residential building strike;

- Ukrainian presidential adviser Arestovich has resigned after suggesting the building was hit because of a failed Ukrainian interception of a Russian cruise missile;

- The building strike appears to be serving as a pretext for a planned escalation by the US and its allies;

- Ukraine also lost its interior minister to a helicopter crash;

- The Western media admits current aid to Ukraine is not sufficient, although suggested increases will unlikely turn the tide;

- The US and its allies are preparing for their monthly meeting discussing expanded military aid to Ukraine on January 20, 2023;

Vladimir Putin: "Russia annually produces three times more air defense missiles than the U.S., and overall we manufacture about as many surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) as the rest of the world combined."

Funny, we didn’t threaten to nuke them when their pilots were shooting ours down in the skies over Korea during the Korean war.

We didn’t threaten to nuke them once again when their pilots and SAM crews were shooting down our pilots in vietnam.

Nor did we threaten to nuke them in the over 20 other instances where they shot down our aircraft during the cold war.

Hell, in Vietnam, they provided more military equipment to the NVA than what we’re supplying to Ukraine.
