Maybe the deal was to allow the Chinese to read the docs and that's why they were kept in an unsecured location. How much did the Chicoms pay Hunter again?

The documents were vetted so that makes them secure.

If drug-addict Hunter Biden had access, who did he allow into the house when he was drug-addled, and did he remember to lock doors as he stumbled around in a daze? A garage is a place that most people walk in and out of more than once a day, and is often the entrance/exit point instead of the front door.
If someone took some papers, how would anyone know that papers were missing?

It’s not like they’re sitting out in the street,” Biden told reporters Right. When I worked with classified documents, they had to be in my possession or be locked in an approved safe. Locked in your standard office desk drawer was not sufficient. I seriously doubt Biden's garage would qualify as "approved".

Re #1. We know that Hunter had access to the garage. He had to in order to drive out Jo Jos vette.

This entire line of discussion is nonsense. Top Secret and higher classified documents must either be in the hands of someone with proper security clearances, or locked away in a specified place, usually a secure safe which can only be opened by authorized personnel with proper security clearances.
