POS = People Of S***?
It’s easy to agree with people who attack the status quo, like Stone does.
But I always have the question of what would they replace the status quo with.
Our government is "anti-American". And at least Stone to a degree disagrees with it.
Stone puts his money where his mouth is. Reiner just spouts DNC talking points.
90 minutes from New York to Paris
Well by ‘76 we’ll be A-OK!
Stone’s politics may be left wing, but he’s neither anti-American or a commie.
“If the thorium molten-salt reactor design were to be built out to scale, we wouldn’t need fusion for a couple thousand years.”
Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have started a company called Terrapower and are building a plant in Wyoming that will use Natrium (don’t ask me) as a power source.
“If Kerry and the rest of the idiots in Davos “
Davidiots.
did you see tucker carleson’s segment on jfk and the cia?
if so how did that compare with stone’s take on the jfk assasination.
“ Davidiots.”
Branch Davidiots!
This may be in the category of a stopped clock ...
Chapter on in the book of Utopia Eliminating Fossil Fuels.
Chapter two OH SHIT
Chapter Three Better Caves and Silos Decor
Pieces. Try pieces. :-)
Or “Shaving cream/Be nice and clean/Shave every day/And you’ll always look keen”
POC = Pieces of Color?
Yes, I saw it. Carlson and Stone are basically on the same page re: JFK.
I’ve always thought nuclear was generally a safe option if managed properly, but it was always irrationally connected to nuclear weapons in the cold war era, and then that false negative never really went away until perhaps recently when people start to realize that other low-carbon options are unsustainable at market rates. (other than hydro-electric which is great where people have that option, such as where I live, BC Canada, our main power source is hydro-electric and there is very little wind energy potential even contemplated let alone developed here, also solar would only work out in one part of the province). Nuclear has been used as a part of the power grid in Ontario without significant incidents, even though the political climate was hostile to its expansion. Other than TMI and Chernobyl nuclear has had a reasonably good safety record over many years (I’m aware of earlier mishaps). Chernobyl was of course partly due to the communist incompetence factor which should not in theory trouble us although I don’t know if I want to live in a society with a lot of woke nuclear engineers, I would prefer Homer Simpson.
I would look forward to the day when we had small Thorium reactors in every community. Some say the oil companies are discouraging all nuclear.
