Home Depot's 93-year-old cofounder Bernie Marcus — who retired in 2002 — says he doesn't want the "woke generation" leading business, arguing that they would spend money "we don't have" on climate mitigation and wouldn't focus on the bottom line.

Speaking on Fox Business Network's "Varney & Co" on Thursday, Marcus — who no longer has any day-to-day involvement with the company — said: "I certainly don't want to see the woke generation coming up, especially the leaders."

He said that he had been following the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos "and they're recommending spending more money on climate control when we don't have it. We've already overspent. And if anything, climate control has caused most of the problems we have today."

Yeah good for him and bad for us we needed guys like him as CEO’s to fight the woke hordes. Instead we get asshats like that fool who runs Disney or the NFL for instance.

He was always a very smart and energetic man. Glad to see him speaking so plainly today.

Laziness? Just wait till they hear what he said- they will show up and work very very hard to destroy his businesses- then they will go back home and crawl into their cellars again, eating cheetos and drinking 2 liter bottles of pop that they buy with their welfare checks and soros checks, waiting for the next thing to ‘spring into action’ over-

It’s amazing how hard the left work in order to keep from having to work-

He would be driven out by now anyway.

You don’t own the company, your financial institution does.

What snarky jerks. The guy has remained active in philanthropy, public policy and many other significant endeavors, so when he retired, he didn’t just sit his butt down in front of the TV and eat Cheetos all day. G-d I hate the NYSlimes and the rest of the leftist MSM.
