I believe he pretends to be a Uniparty hack, only because it provides his traitor actions the cover he needs to stay in his powerful position.

Being an honest-to-goodness traitor is far worse than being just a plain old Uniparty hack by a factor of 1,000, as it carries a death sentence when convicted, and a death sentence is what he really deserves.

Being just a Uniparty hack only deserves losing power. Thus, being called a Uniparty hack is the understatement. 🙂
