Finally, Congress, which has oversight control over the District, thank God, is stepping in to put a stop to the treachery. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) introduced a bill to put D.C.’s vote-stealing scheme where the sun don’t shine. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is running point in the Senate. He issued a fiery press release announcing that he and Republican Sens. John Kennedy (R-La.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) will introduce the bill to cancel out this dumb law.

Wouldn’t it be somehting if the gop went around collecting votes from non citizens for the conservative party? I’ll bet the left woild scream for id’s and no illegals voting then!
Everyone in the Russian embassy is eligible to vote in DC.
Imagine calling illegal aliens “residents” for the purpose of in-state college tuition which is discrimination against citizens of the several states.
It means residency trumps citizenship.
And yet in something like 20 states, that’s now “the law”.
Including Arizona.
Congress can step in and override a bad or damaging law passed by the DC Council. The fact that they don't in this case can be turned into an argument that Congress wants non-citizen voting in America, or they would stop this for the optics alone.
