A question from my ignorance. Who are the other ‘lawgivers’ (all men!!) that are already on plinths? If they are NY jurists, OK, I guess to ‘honor’ Ginsberg.
But if we are talking figures like Moses, Hammurabi, Salon, etc., etc.—sorry, but Ginsberg isn’t in their league, even if she could grow tendrils out of her shoulders and roots out of her ankles.

One of my neighbors has Barbados sheep-those curled braids make it look kind of like one of the rams...

The god of water and fertility? It looks like Ahena, a tree goddess. Perhaps a tad Medusa like. I suspect they are trying to show Ruth’s roots for women ‘run deep’ and her arms cut short due to Roe being over turned. The horns her stubbornness. I studied symbolism in college, my wife religions.
