He is absolutely right. The US dithered. This is one of the failures of this administration.
Gates isn’t right about anything.
He comments on other’s peoples decisions with 20/20 hindsight, but he NEVER looks at his own MASSIVE F-UP’s with the same reflection.
He Singlehandledly destroyed the Boy Scouts of America.
He could have said “hey, they are 12 year old kids, they shouldn’t be talking about ANYTHING Sexual. Don’t ask Don’t tell should work great”
Instead, he basically said “We tried Don’t ask Don’t tell in the Military, it didn’t work. Gay Scoutmasters, Gay kids need to be all let in and they need to be able to express their gayness, openly. What about girls? Sure, why not, let them join, too.”
He is terrible and makes terrible decisions. Descisions so bad, its like someone is making them for him.
I’m for the US supporting Ukraine against Russia, but this guy piping up is to be dismissed completely. He is a tool.
