[Pharmaceuticals are not sanctioned for Russia, but maybe Israel had some special developmental drug.]

Given that the guy is said to be using shamans and appealing to Tengri - experimental drugs are practically a given. No real harm, if his health situation is as dire as it’s said to be. I doubt his position is in any danger, given that unlike Gorbachev, he fashioned the security services with his own two hands, and presumably knows who to kill and how to kill them, if there’s a challenge to his rule. But that health thing, it might be his Achilles heel.

NATO is supplying everything but the cadavers.

Russia is winning. Ukrainians are going door to door and grabbing men off the streets forcing them to enlist.

When the west escalates weapons sent to Ukraine to include
those that are able to destroy Russia, Americans on both coasts will become the first to experience nuclear war.

You look to be another foreigner posting here to support Ukraine. Are you also a neo nazi?

Your country fell dramatically in ratings for freedom and lost its place (previously held) in the top ten.

I think Israel is competent enough on its own to know where Iran’s military assets are.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/01/untold-reality-russias-wagner-group-bakhmut-ukraine-first-hand-account-media-wont-tell/

If you have a spare hour I want to encourage you to watch the following video. It is a conversation between two former members of the Australian Army. Willy OAM, the guy with the red beard, is interviewing a former mate who is on the ground fighting for Ukraine. The unnamed Aussie is a bit schizophrenic in his assessment of the situation. Based on his analysis, I believe he was a senior NCO in the Australian Army because he is very focused on the tactical level but clearly has no clue about the broader geo-strategic picture (that is not an insult to enlisted guys).

He concedes, albeit reluctantly, that Ukraine is losing and is suffering massive casualties. He reports that one Ukrainian brigade (a unit of 5000 men) suffered 80% casualties in recent weeks. He admits that the Wagner Group is not suffering major casualties and are fighting very smart and are well-equipped. Yet, in the next breath, he insists Russia is hemorrhaging troops because that he is what he is hearing from Ukrainian sources. He repeats the Western propaganda meme that Russian is sending untrained conscripts to the front but then, based on his personal observation, bluntly states that Ukraine is sending 60 year old, untrained, ill-equipped conscripts (i.e., guys grabbed off the street) into the meat grinder.

BUT #Putin has cancer

To anyone with half a brain, that claim discredits everything else this source claims.

Putin has been dying for blood, thyroid and stomach cancer, all of which would have killed him within a couple of months, since March. He's been reported dead with Russia using a body double.

I've relatives with cancer that were getting chemo. None of them have energy Putin has, let alone could keep the the schedule he does.

This is just another example of Deep State and Biden regime bulls$it.

Whoever starts off like: “palestinians and Jews,” instead of ‘Arabs and Jews’, or ‘Muslims and Jews’ or at least “Israeis and Palestinians” — already shows his ignorance. Worse is of course to call a racist Arab Islamofascist massacre of worshippers as a “cycle” or any moral equivalency to preventive measures against massacres such as in Jenin.

It's also likely that Israel and/or the US already knew where all the factories were located.

I would say that is very likely.

Ukraine supporter I am, this reads like fiction and it reinforces my opinion that General SVR is not as connected as he says he is, if he has any connections at all.

I. This story:

1. Stories like this selectively forget that everyone has self awareness of themselves and their own history. Which means since Putin is KGB and has cancer, he knows he is KGB and has cancer. He would not invade Ukraine while putting himself at risk of what is to him is a obvious risk of personal blackmail. His doctors can get whatever medication he needs and Russian intelligence uses blackmail more than it gets blackmailed. This part of the story is extremely unlikely.

2. The details of the deal between Iran and Russia have two problems. Iran did provide launchers for Shaheed drones. The agreement for A,B, and C in exchange for X, Y, and Z with a delivery of some one for the some of the other, with both parties expecting the other to follow the schedule, is how business and trade deals work. There is nothing out of the ordinary here. In this story it was Russia not following through on the schedule, not Iran. It was Iran was concerned Putin was deceiving them, not the other way around.

3. Its not possible to hide a big factory. No one who wants to attack the weapons plants needs Putin to tell them where they are and what part to attack, they already know. Putin's personal confirmation of details of the plant, other than its location, is again, highly unlikely.

4. Putin wants Iranian weapons and knows he is not going to get them for free, destroying or damaging the the plants means he doesn't get them.

5. A small drone strikes while more precise, is not as destructive as a air or cruise missile strike. The facilities will get repaired.

For this to work, (1) Putin would have to get blackmailed that is unlikely, (2) for his own failure to follow a deal for the weapons he wants, (3) by betraying that deal, (4) reduce his ability to get those weapons, (5) while giving the ally he needs, Iran, every reason to pay him back for it in the future.

This does not add up.

II. As for General SVR's prediction that the first mobilization would be a mess, Russian ex pats were explaining this at the time.

For a insider to talk about what is common knowledge to those inside a group, sounds impressive to those on the outside who don't know what is understood by the group in question. In other words, those outside Russia did not initially understand the mobilization would be a total disaster. Everyone in Russia knew this would happen long before it was announced, because that's how Russia works. Couching what Russians understood in spy novel soap opera writing makes SVR look like he selling a story to audience who does not know better.

On the other hand, if turns out Russia really is run like a soap opera spy novel, I will apologize and then self medicate my mental anguish with more than light beer.

I think it’s understood that in autocracies, no one really says what he feels if those sentiments are in any way critical of the regime. And much of the regime support is more in the sense that if the regime leaves them alone, they are happy with it. The day it wants them to risk their lives, they run for the border.

What was interesting about gen SVR was the timing and the size of the intake. I think it got both more or less right, and was the source of much of the media coverage on the subject.

AFAIK, Russian social media isn’t scrubbed like its Chinese counterpart, likely for cost reasons. The manpower and payroll expense for online Chinese censors is said to be staggering. The numbers bring to mind the armies of people required to listen in on phone calls in the pre-internet era, at a time when phone calls were metered and phone conversations short and to the point.

Bottom line - potential draftees in Russia get all perspectives. The smart ones presumably have looked at the worst case and decided to play it safe by running. So it was a given mobilization would be a mess. IIRC, gen SVR did not actually say much about how it would turn out - it went back and forth about the numerical targets and dates.

Re allies back-stabbing each other - that’s not something new. They’re allies basically bartering goods and services on a cash-and-carry basis. That Iran wants better nuclear tech and perhaps tech for better delivery vehicles is no great secret. Will it return to the table even after perceived betrayals? Sure. Who else is gonna provide them with this tech? They’re like a bunch of drug dealers circling each other. Except unlike drug dealers, fairly substantial pariah states without even a common border can’t attempt to eliminate the other and take their stuff. So they yak and yak, and whatever commitments were broken previously just get added to the running tab. Because TINA.

Re knowing what targets to hit, I’d be surprised if the Iranians did not have fairly sophisticated deception programs with decoy targets set up. They have been deceiving nuclear inspectors for decades.
