IIRC, back in the 70’s, the drive through liquor store in Tempe, AZ (on Rural Road just north of Apache, across the street from ASU) sold ammunition. I would sometimes ride my bicycle there to stock up before going shooting...however I typically just picked it up at the grocery store...
