Does it have He bottles and vent valves?
“Is anyone else ok with this Chinese balloon landing in the front lawn of the WH and setting up shop?”
They’ve already rented the space. They might as well move in.
I’m amazed that the public buys into the media manure about this particular effort. They’ve been monitoring us for years just like we do them. Monitoring of communication, observation of weapons and movement, and a lot more has been going on for a couple of generations. We know they do it, and they know we do it, and we each know the other one does know. And this isn’t even reaching the use of satellites that can read the tags on our under wear.
I live in the northwest in retirement. We have had a steady run of Russian subs submerged in and around our harbors monitoring communications for many years. We used to lie to them to mislead them (and for the fun of it). But they got that memo so that had to change. Now they tell us what to say thanks to Obama/Biden and their business interests with everyone. Makes the US a pay for play country.

“Chinese space station and your point being is”
How could you miss the point, explicitly laid out:
“There has developed some sort of bizarre presumption of backwards Chinese tech completely erased by the above — and ignored by most in the US — that would presume the Chinese need to use a balloon for recon. Their satellites are essentially superior to US imagery, as is Russia’s. But we’ll step back and swagger in our self delusion about that, too.”
Ya don't float a balloon over our country...and expect we won't shoot it down.
The whole world must be going nuts with our "no response".
That ChiCom money is spread all over our politicians and educrats.
I tell ya the length the dem party will go to protect the Chinese govt., I guess it’s a big thank you for creating Rona in order yo give them power
After (s)Election Day, on November 6, 2020, I said that Pedo Joe would bring this country to our knees and China would walk right in.
Looks like I was right.
Quigley looks like he could be the answer to the question "What would the love child of Ernest Borgnine and Helen Thomas look like?"
Attaching these balloons to the shores of Guam could be the answer to our fears of capsizing. .
At that low altitude it would take many balloons with EMP devices aboard to accomplish a complete job.
I have seen speculation by someone in the aviation field that the Chinese almost had to have received prior permission for this flight from the USG.
They can deliver EMP stuff but are not as effective as rockets that can put one up 200 miles. The balloon EMPs can cover a much smaller area.
Our “silent service”is also top notch.
LOL Good one.
rather than the truth which is that Russian tech would smash any NATO presence and erase US weapons exports for decades to come.
Do you mean their rusty smoke-belching aircraft carrier and the rusty old tanks? They couldn’t crush puny Ukraine.
FYI: The warhead on the US Sidewinder missile did NOT detonate when it impacted the Chinese War Balloon. It could be because the target was too soft to cause the missile’s impact fuse to work, and maybe its proximity fuse could not “see” the thin floating balloon enough, that it was unable to reflect enough of a signal to “read” its proximity. But more likely? I believe the US Air Force removed the explosive warhead from the missile, so they were basically firing a supersonic dart at the balloon, so as to take no chances of damaging the technological apparatus it was carrying!
Excellent. My theory too.
