This one in Turkey would have produced much greater loss of life even without the added energy. Most residential buildings at the time in So Cal were light wood framing, which performed well, all things considered.

The use of unreinforced masonry, and under-reinforced concrete in Turkey and Syria is going to produce horrible numbers of casualties.

The 3600 year cycle unfolding and that’s part of it. More quakes, volcanic eruptions as well as crazy and strange weather patterns are what we are seeing right now and there may be more to come. Many people think it is just plain BS but actual events seems to prove otherwise. If you are interested enough and want to find out more about it you may want to explore ...

IMMANUEL VELIKOVSKY, AND THE 3,600 YEAR SIGNATURE (CYCLE)

Who was Immanuel Velikovsky? He was a peer of Einstein, and they played chess together often. In fact, when Einstein died, he was in the process of reading his friend Velikovsky’s book, Earth in Upheaval, as he was found sprawled over this book, laid open on his desk, when he died. Or perhaps there was something particularly upsetting, in the book.Einstein was aware of periodic global cataclysms, the puzzle as to why they occurred, an issue he and Velikovsky debated, apparently.Einstein espoused Hapgood’s sliding crust theory, as an explanation for wandering poles, stating this was the best explanation for what the Earth stands in evidence of.

And by the way the TEN PLAGUES of ancient Egypt which are pretty well documented in the Bible took place just about 3523 years ago and gave the then ruling Pharaoh (possible Thutmose II) an Excedrin headache. Moses being quite clever used these natural occurring events to threaten the Pharaoh that there would be more to come unless he would release the Israelites from BONDAGE. He eventually conceded resulting in the also well documented EXODUS. The catch and interesting part is that whatever happened in Egypt at the time was was not just limited to Egypt as when we check and research some of the ancient Chinese records we will find that very similar and devastating events took place there about at the same time. In other words these were WORLD WIDE EVENTS which took place at the time. Since ancient historic time events are somewhat difficult to pinpoint the number of years 3523 given ( 2023 AD + 1500 BC ) may vary some one way or another, but are getting close to and are approaching the completion of the 3600 year cycle and whatever it brings along with it.

“The use of unreinforced masonry, and under-reinforced concrete in Turkey and Syria is going to produce horrible numbers of casualties.”

I was wondering if they had a lot of buildings made out of that kind of material. Very likely because some of their cities go back to antiquity. In SoCal “ancient buildings” go back maybe 100 years.

There have been lots of quakes in the area in the past. I wonder if the rebuilt buildings were better built or not? After awhile one would think all of the old sub-standard buildings would be gone.

Sounds very interesting.

And 3600 years prior to that was...the Great Flood of Noah??

Wasn’t that when the seas were re-formed and the land mass that survived became Turkey?

I am vague on the timeline.

Look at the pictures. Apartment buildings are collapsing like a house of cards.

The 3600 year signature cycle
The 3600 signature cycle continues to unfold. Such as floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, bugs and pests as well as crazy unseasonable weather patterns. And the chances for humans to stop or avert any of this are pretty slim to none as this appears to be a re-occurring natural event or cycle. And even if all the politicians stand on their heads, as well as throwing money at what is conceived erroneously as a problem created by humans, what it is not, it would not change a thing.

Just take the ever increasing number of earthquakes worldwide, which are part of this repetitive cycle, even in the wildest imagination it would be difficult to make a correlation between it and anything related to global warming. At least for now and until the general public becomes knowledgably enough and realizes what the real causes are behind some of these events, ignorant politicians will milk these perceived causes for climate change or global warming for all its worth, in order to extract more taxes from the general public under the guise to fight man made global warming or climate change. Humans could not do anything about it one way or another even if they tried.

More signs and events of things to come are part of the 3600 signature cycle as it is unfolding world wide. About 3600 plus or minus years ago similar events gave the then ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Thutmose an Excedrin headache and just about drove him bananas, better known as the TEN PLAGUES, eventually resulting in the release or expulsion of the Israelis from bondage as they, or good old MOSES used these events to their advantage by threatening that there would be more to come unless they would be released.

This event went down in history as the Biblical EXODUS. The catch is that these events were not just limited to ancient Egypt at the time, as we scan ancient, available and somewhat scarce records from this period we will find that ancient China was plagued with very similar events and disasters.

On top of it we are also entering another Grand Minimum Solar (GMS) cycle what may compound some of these strange events, and I would not be surprised if this 3600 signature cycle also has a bearing on the GMS, but that is just my thought. Why do I think so? Because some of these strange weather patterns along with increased earthquake activities started to emerge much earlier than the recent GMS cycle.

Just for interest sake about the same time 1500 BC or approximately close to 3600 years ago,1500 BC + 2023 AD= 3523 approx.the time of the EXODUS the volcano located on the island of Thera located in the Mediterranean blew up with the estimated force of about 40 (forty) nuclear bombs, permanently re-arranging the Mediterranean, forming the Santorini Archipelago. At the time turning days into night, also affecting Egypt with pumice from the eruption found there as well.

So far being located in the upper Midwest, overall we have remained pretty well unscathed aside from some flooding here and there. Let’s hope it remains this way.
For someone who never heard of this it may elicit a smile, on the other hand you may want to keep in mind that there has been a steady increase in earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, flooding all over as well as one season running into one another along with crazy weather patterns worldwide. All this just doesn’t happen without a reason and global warming supposedly caused by humans is positively not one of them.

That’s a factor, too, as long as they know how to rebuild safer. Basically what has happened in southern California. You don’t see new brick buildings here and I’ve seen undamaged older ones taken down, maybe for insurance reasons. We have retrofitting for some older buildings. New construction has to meet earthquake standards.

All the same a 7.8 is a huge quake. That’s the current estimate for the 1906 San Francisco/ San Andreas earthquake.

I’ve seen pictures of collapsed buildings where plenty of rebar was visible. Having been in a bunch of quakes, including a 6.7 and 7.0, 7.8 is insane, and will bounce you around like a ping-pong ball now matter what you try to do. The stress on structures is astronomically high, and it is not surprising to see even well-constructed buildings fail in that kind of energy release.

I have been studying Velikovsky, Wallace, Talbott, too. My POV is religious (antediluvian comparative mythology makes so much sense), so the science is difficult but fascinating. As soon as I heard about these two large EQs in Turkey, I thought about the green comet just now passing and their electric universe theory. Einstein’s theory does not solve everything....
