Thanks for making my point. You accurately pointed all the bad things and all the scary boogie men. I see it all too, it just doesn’t get me down because:
We are doing fantastic, our daughter is doing better than ever and her prospects are better than ever, our oldest grandson is doing unbelievable in his twenties, better than any of us were doing at his age, and he and his wife are doing it on their own. That’s 3 different generations of peeps doing very well.
We can’t be the only ones. I learned long ago I can’t save the world, or America. I could only save my household, so I did. If it all goes bad tomorrow and never gets better, it’s been an incredible and great life and my time is growing short anyway. Best wishes for things to “go well” for you, only you can make it happen and the good news is, you are the only one that can stop you from having a great life.
There are those that have health problem so severe things are very hard on them. Some die early, etc. Can’t change that, luck of the draw or lifestyle mistakes can lead down very bad roads. There is definitely luck involved! I do believe we make most of our luck, but that’s just me.
I even know a guy in a wheelchair who can barely move one hand to control the chair and uses a stylus held in his mouth to type on his computer. He runs his own biz, is successful and outwardly seems happy. I think his happiness is real from overcoming all his problems that would wipe most people out. He’s one of my idols. I tell myself I have no excuses for anything after observing him.
It’s like a stock crash. How much further will it drop?

I left out our 17 year-old grandson who is the manager at a Carl’s Jr. He seems to have a bright future as well.
