Jennifer Angel, the owner of Oakland's popular Angel Cakes bakery, was on life support Thursday after suffering life-threatening injuries during a brazen daylight purse snatching in the rear parking lot of a Wells Fargo Bank branch. Investigators said incident took place about 12:29 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Webster St. less than a mile away from her shop. Angel was in the parking lot when a vehicle blocked her exit. A man approached her vehicle, broke a window, reached inside to snatch her purse, and then raced back to a getaway car.She followed the suspect back to the car, attempting to retrieve her purse. Angel became caught in the fleeing vehicle's door and was dragged more than 50 feet before falling off.
Angel suffered serious head injuries as a result of being dragged. She was rushed to the Highland Hospital Trauma Unit.
I take it that the usual suspects were the perpetrators of the crime?
Sadly, she didn’t want criminals executed or jailed, the result being she wanted the loose in society so that they could prey on “others”.
She never had the common sense to realize that she could be “the other” and it cost her her life.
Liberals almost never learn that their reality isn’t real.
I’ve known that Oakland is a dangerous place since I was 11 years old. That was 70 years ago. My mom, dad, and I had flown to CA from Chicago to see my mother’s brother. Uncle Jack was wonderful, we all loved him very much. We stood on the beach in San Francisco and Jack pointed across the water and said:
“Never go to Oakland. You could get killed there.” Jack had just come back from Japan where he was part of the occupation at the end of WW2.
Oakland was more dangerous than Hirohito and Kamikaze pilots. Apparently it still is.
Don’t go there.
