Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm met privately with the leader of the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), the group that funded a recent study used to justify calls for a gas stove ban.
Granholm met with Jules Kortenhorst — the CEO of RMI at the time — in June 2021, according to her internal agency calendar obtained by government watchdog group Americans for Public Trust (APT). Kortenhorst is widely known global climate activist who also founded the Energy Transitions Commission and chairs the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on Net Zero Transition.
The calendar didn't include the agenda for the meeting which was conducted via Zoom and lasted for approximately an hour. The Department of Energy (DOE) and RMI didn't respond to requests for comment.
"Despite calling stories about the Biden administration banning gas stoves ‘ridiculous’ and 'not true,' Secretary Granholm’s calendar tells a different story," APT executive director Caitlin Sutherland told Fox News Digital. "We’ve now learned that she consulted with the dark money group pushing to ban gas stoves."

Getting rid of any natural gas is absolutely stupid.
One of the greatest strategic and economic advantages the USA has are its massive gas reserves. Not only do they make manufacturing cheaper here, they could (if used correctly) provide energy independence.
The USA has no particular advantage with wind or solar or nuclear. Some better some not as good.
China and other interests started and fueled the propaganda and bad science against natural gas and oil to strip America of that interest and to lower demand (and thus cost) for oil and gas, both of which it is extremely poor in.
I recall President Trump making the remark that climate change was a scam funded by Red China.
The parts for electric cars, windmills, and solar panels are all made in China. The natural resources needed for them are all located around the world but are all controlled by China. Numerous politicians on both sides of the aisle are owned by China. Universities funded by China spit out woke zombies and fetanyl from China flows across our borders.
The Chinese Communist Party came up with a plan to get more Gas and the fools feel for it ,LOL
They want a single point of failure. One command to your electric meter and you can’t even heat up a can of beans. That should get people to think about their social credit score.
In the mean time, our government blows up a natural gas line, releasing untold amounts of the super greenhouse gas methane. Because Putin.

Eventually they want to steal our oil and natural gas just like they’ve stolen everything else from us.
(I would not put it past this administration to sign a secret treaty with China to sell the American people into slavery to the Chinese or if not out-and-out slavery, to send recalcitrant adult Americans to slave labor camps and the children sold into the sex trade.)
