I was totally unaware that Nevada is so pro-active in bringing in industry. But industry needs water. So they better use it sparingly. My guess is that new industrial processes are stricter with the water consumed.
I find that very hard to believe. Can that possibly be true?
Maybe it is the largest “industrial center” measured in area, but what about output, value of products, number of employees, number of companies, etc? “Largest” is vague. Also, what is the definition of “Industrial Center”?
Thank God Californians are fleeing somewhere else than Idaho.
“Thousands of Californians leaving the Golden State looking to escape... are landing in neighboring Nevada, overrunning the state’s few major cities”
Just like locusts, they destroyed the host and are now looking for new areas to devour.
When then say “Californians”, they really mean all those anchor babies born to illegals for the last 50 years. These Californians are human sewage. The type love Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. /spit
“The Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center has become the world’s largest industrial center and covers 166 square miles.”
That’s a stretch considering that the industrial area of Eastern China covers about 1,000,000 square miles.
Hopefully they’re Leftugees who will help turn Nevada back to red.
the Reno area has seen 25,000 new residents according to reports
And that’s just the illegals
Spreading the Suck
Racists against new arrivals. Racists! Back off and permit trampling.
Don’t worry about it. When it gets too crowded the new residents will just vote for a light rail train, affordable housing in every neighborhood, and bike paths. Lots of bike paths.
High density housing, enough it seems, to at least double Reno’s population, is being constructed everywhere you look.
There are probably lots of previously conservative places that this is being done to.
Demographics engineering.
