Washing machines, fridges, freezers, voting machines face tougher energy standards
there fixed it
What is utterly asinine and stupid is that the USA tries to force emissions control and climate change correction on us to “save the earth” when the population of the USA is only 4.25% of the earth’s population and the others ain’t doing squat....
I have a 1965 refrigerator/freezer that still works just fine.
Has been moved 4 times. I use it constantly—has horse supplies in it.
So basically going from crappy, to not working at all. Just like my 3 year old dishwasher that replaced my 12 year old dishwasher. We went from clean dishes in 45 minutes to dirty dishes in 3 hours to broken in 3 years. Progress.
And the prices just get higher. It is all for the damn planet dontcha know. geesh
About like those toilets that people have to flush more than once. They hold almost no water in the toilet.
I hate stinking politicians. I am sure their homes have super flushers. Mainly because they are full of___.
Yo biden
ESAD
I had a Maytag I used for over 23 years. Sold it with a house-—Wish I hadn’t.
Or learn how to "jailbreak" the new appliances so they once again perform the task they're supposed to.
I am SURE that MR Kohler knew how much water a regular toilet needed.
Same here. I had a Kenmore washier/dryer set that I purchased before the Obama-era "green" crap went into effect.
Worked like a champ. The wash basin filled with water and the dryer only needed one cycle. Stupidly, sold them with the house.
I purchased a modern Maytag set. The washer works OK. There's actually a "deep fill" option that I use but the dryer is absolute garbage. Even on the hottest setting, I have to run the dryer 2-3 times before the load is dry.
I've often wondered if it would be possibly to jerry-rig the thermostat so it gets hotter?
First they came for the light bulbs...and I said nothing...
I’ve been a Realtor for 25 years. When the washer dryer convey and they’re 7-10 years old, I tell my buyers they may be replacing them soon. They always have a story about their parents or grandparents having appliances forever.
He sure knew better until the government told him what to do.
I have a family member who bought a super flusher. The first time I used it at their house I almost jumped in fear. LOL It was like Whoa!
“while also saving consumers money.”
They ALWAYS promise us this with every new government regulation. But it never comes true. People are still waiting on their $2500 in insurance savings thanks to Obamacare.
Government Overreach - bump for later....
“Get ready for the prices to double…”
…for machines that won’t actually work.
NEW and IMPROVED never is, and it’s always more expensive for us.
My Mom had one, I remember it well🙂
They’re working toward appliances that use no energy at all…and don’t do anything.
