So, food stamps, WIC, SNAP, free school meals for the whole family, general welfare payments, all combined and they still don’t have food? Where did all that money go?
If medicaid dollars go to groceries then clearly all those other programs can be ended.
Is it admission that the food programs have failed?
Are there some people who just don’t want to eat nutritous food? Not feed their kids nutritous food?
How do we mandate their way of thinking?
Beware to avoid over generalizing. It isn’t everyone on food stamps and medicaid. But it is a significant number.
According to my neighbor who’s well in her 80’s, food stamps will be cut, in her case, by about 30%. Something to do with a federal contribution that will end in March.
