Probably these are part of the new mechanized units which are to be introduced by Spring.
NATO troops
Why does Ukraine need new brigades when they are so awesomely smashing Russian units ?

What’s the combined strength of Ukranian Armed Forces? I understand the Russians may have 500,000 now but they are mostly poorly trained conscripts and Wagner convict troops. Their best troops including VDK paratroopers and Spetsnaz are all dead.
Chilling photo. Pure evil.
The best aren’t all dead, but they’ve suffered heavy casualties, and if their units haven’t been disbanded, they are spread thin among the newbie replacements.
The Russian army is larger than 500,000, probably over 2 million now, but as in all other armies most are REMFs. How many are in combat units available for service in Ukraine? That’s a $64,000 question.
New mech units for the Ukrainian offensive meant to take back those parts of their country occupied by Russia.
They're not all dead but if they've suffered at least 50% casualties, they're basically combat ineffective. Sure. The Russians can put in new bodies. But the Elite units won't be like what they were at the beginning of the war. So the Russians will have to rely on their artillery and drones from Iran and destroy everything like they did in Chechnya.
What Ukraine has been doing during this pause from major fighting is reorganizing its army. The existing brigades have been rebuilt to be defensive. With mainly infantry and artillery to hold the borders.
In the west they have been assembling a second army group. They are mechanized and trained for offensive operations.
The brigades in that and their slogans:
* Azov Brigade – “Unbreakable, unconquered, unstoppable”
* Bureviy Brigade – “We are the storm”
* Spartan Brigade – “The enemy breaks against us”
* Rubizh Brigade – “Returning the borders of Ukraine”
* Chervona Kalyna Brigade – “The enemy burns and the willows turn red”
* Kara-Dag Brigade – “Raise the flag over Crimea”
* Lyut Brigade – “Turn your rage into a weapon”
* Stalevy Kordon Brigade – “First on the border, first on the offensive”
“What’s the combined strength of Ukranian Armed Forces? “
Most estimates are around 1 million. Almost all have basic training and equipment, but the push now is to get a lot trained up on more advanced skills. The winter pause has been useful for that.
Now isn’t that interesting?
I do wonder what happened to the other brigades.
Perhaps these new brigades are just more cannon fodder for the Ruskies.
Yea. That’s it!
I assume some of them are territorial defense units. You'll have to station them in cities like Kyiv. You can't really use them on the offensive. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Trump would have like Bandera.
A lot of militia seem to be holding stretches of the very long Russian - Belorussian borders. The US satellite recon and signal assets should catch an offensive buildup in time to reinforce vs a major Russian cross border attack, but opportunistic attacks by local units are still possible.
They didnt get the memo from Jonny Pusty that “its over”
And yet the Zelenskyy supporters here claim Russia wants to take the rest of Europe after he conquers Ukraine. Pretty hard to do with his army in shambles, doncha think? Unless that’s just more propaganda from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
If there was no war in Ukraine, and the Americans aren't fighting, the Poles would have stopped them. The Russians are a paper tiger.
